Hello!
Hope everyone is doing well! Kyle and I have been pretty busy with the start of the semester and keeping up with life. We've decided, now that I can breathe again since the wedding is over, that we may look into buying a house before the end of the year! There's a huge tax incentive right now ($8000) and we may be able to get a fairly nice, small house for a decent price. If we do it, it's going to happen real quick. Like in a month. Because we have to close before December 31st. So Kyle's at the bank discussing our options and my dad is calling a realtor that helped Kyle's co-worker find his home. Hopefully things will work out! I'm so ready to move and have a yard where can grill out and have picnics.
Other than that not much else is new. Tyler and Sam are going to be in town the next two weekends (before and after their cruise) and then Kyle's uncle is getting married the weekend of September 26th ON Myrtle Beach! It's the first beach wedding I've been to so I'm super excited. Me, Mary, and Eve are going down early on Friday to soak up some rays. Kyle, Curtis, and Seth will be arriving Saturday before the wedding.
I still really want to have a Halloween Party so I'm going to send out invites in a couple weeks. The guys had discussed a Super-Mario theme.... I have my own costume-you all can do whatever you want. There isn't going to be an official theme.
Christine is dating a firefighter!!! I told her to invite him to the party so she'd better and he'd better come! He's super sexy and firefighter-like.
So anywho, those are the highlights of our life right now. Also, I was thinking when we moved in we'd get a dog after a while. I originally wanted a German Shepherd but I recently started looking into Newfoundlands. They get to 120-150 pounds and are apparently very gentle and loyal. As for a guard dog, are you going to break into a home where the pet is as big as you? They also have instinctive water saving abilities. For example, if you are near a river and someone far away falls in said river, they will dive in after them and bring them to shore. I actually saw that on a reality show once. Also, they are protective of children and will literally stand between a child and a river/pool/lake if they question the child's swimming ability. These are all pluses on my list. I don't know if we'd actually get one or when we'd get one, but these are just things I like to think about. George and Hudson take up quite a bit of my time already but I'd really like to have a dog before we have kids.
Wellp I guess that's it for now. Again, hope everyone is doing well. Talk to you soon!
Love, Laura

"The guys had discussed a Super-Mario theme.... I have my own costume-you all can do whatever you want. There isn't going to be an official theme." - sometimes I wonder...
ReplyDeleteSuper-smash Bros would be the theme.
If I make it down that weekend, and I'm not promising anything, my chances of having a costume with me are minimal... someone should pick me up a Pikachu costume if it works out ;-)
