Hello everyone!
I hope you all had a very happy Christmas and New Year's! Kyle and I are finally done with our rounds and are relaxing in the apartment.
We were up in Boone for most of the week before and after Christmas. My house lost power from Christmas day until the next Monday. But thankfully Kyle's house did not lose power so we were able to go over there to shower. We also had a huge tree fall down in our road along with several smaller ones AND another huge one in my driveway. Kyle and Woody cut down the tree in the road on Christmas day and then cut down the tree in my driveway the following day. Kyle has war wounds to prove it.
Christine's boo couldn't stand to be away so he drove up from Wilmington to Boone on Monday and then we rolled out Wednesday. Kyle and I spent New Year's in Wilmington with Tine and Logan and got to see his Spartan-like apartment. Very clean, big furniture and TV- it was pretty nice. Their current plans include moving to West Virginia when Christine graduates. So naturally we made fun of her. For her Christmas gift, Woody bought an atlas and ripped out all the maps except for WV. It was pretty awesome.
I am beginning the last full-time/full-load of classes for my college career! I worked my ass off last semester (literally and metaphorically) and bumped my GPA up a full 0.1 point which is extremely hard to do with over 120 hours. This semester I'll be taking BioChem and hope to get my GPA up even more before I apply for Student Teaching.
Kyle and I will definitely be moving out of this apartment in May. We are also going on a cruise to celebrate my mom's ??th birthday. (I told Kyle we're not allowed to talk about it haha). We're also going out to California to celebrate Kyle's great-grandmother's 90th birthday the weekend of July 24th. She flew all the way to NC by herself for our wedding in August and has no plans to slow down. It's pretty impressive and we're both really excited to go out and see her.
So my New Year's Resolution? Continue working on my awesome bod and saving up enough money to go on a cruise, fly out to CA, and moving into a new apartment!! :) It's going to be an awesome year and I look forward to graduating, watching Christina and Krishna plan their wedding, being with friends, and continuing on with married life!
Can't wait to see you all!
Love, Laura S.
